Robot Ares from War Robots Game

One of the robots that players can use in the game is Ares, a fast and powerful robot that belongs to the Greek Pantheon faction.

Ability of Ares

Ares’s ability is called Retribution. When activated, Ares deploys an impenetrable absorption shield that blocks all damage types, except for some special abilities like Mercury’s Helldive, Hellburner’s Overload, Kid’s Stove, and Arthur’s Blast Wave. While the shield is active, Ares also brings out four built-in energy cannons that fire at the enemy.

The shield can absorb damage for up to eight seconds, and the damage absorbed increases the power of the built-in weapons by 119%. For example, if the shield absorbs 1,000 damage, the Retribution damage will increase by 1,190. The maximum increase in Retribution damage is 100%, which means that the built-in weapons can deal double damage if the shield absorbs enough damage.

The Retribution ability makes Ares a very dangerous robot to face, as it can turn the enemy’s fire against them and deal massive damage in a short time. The ability also allows Ares to survive in situations where other robots would be destroyed.

Strategy of Ares

Ares is a medium robot with two medium and two light hardpoints. This means that it can equip a variety of weapons to suit different ranges and playstyles. Some of the popular weapon combinations for Ares are:

Scourge and Spark: These are energy weapons that deal more damage as they lock onto the target. They are effective at medium range and can bypass energy shields.

Corona and Halo: These are kinetic shotguns that deal high burst damage and have a chance to lock down the enemy. They are effective at close range and can break physical shields.

Pulsar and Shredder: These are energy machine guns that deal moderate damage and have a chance to suppress the enemy. They are effective at mid-long range and can bypass energy shields.

The best way to use Ares is to time its ability wisely and take advantage of its speed and firepower. Ares should avoid exposing itself to enemy fire when its ability is on cooldown, as it has low durability and no other defensive mechanisms. Ares should also avoid engaging multiple enemies at once, as its shield can only protect it from one direction.

A good strategy for Ares is to flank the enemy or ambush them from behind cover. Ares can then activate its ability and unleash its built-in weapons on the unsuspecting enemy. Ares can also use its ability defensively, to escape from danger or to protect its teammates.

Ares Threat Measure

Ares is one of the most feared robots in War Robots, as it can deal devastating damage and survive for a long time with its ability. However, Ares is not invincible, and it has some weaknesses that can be exploited by smart enemies.

Some of the ways to counter Ares are:

Use stealth or jump abilities to avoid its shield and attack it from behind or above.

Use weapons or abilities that can bypass or break its shield, such as rockets, flamethrowers, Titans’ weapons, or Arthur’s Blast Wave.

Use weapons or abilities that can disable or reduce its firepower, such as EMP, suppression, lockdown, or corrosion.

Use teamwork and coordination to focus fire on Ares when its ability is on cooldown or when it is outnumbered.

Upgrade Cost of Ares

Ares is a premium robot that can be obtained from special events, chests, or the workshop. The upgrade cost of Ares depends on its level and the currency used.
