Robot Angler from War Robots Game
One of the robots that players can use in the game is Angler, a strong and swift robot that belongs to the EvoLife faction.

Ability of Angler
Angler’s ability is called Electric Shift. When activated, Angler creates an electric vortex around itself that damages all enemies within 50 meters. The robot also accelerates and enters a state of Phase Shift, removing all negative effects and becoming invincible to all damage. The ability lasts for 5 seconds, and then enters a 10-second cooldown.

The electric vortex also applies a special effect called Blindcharge to all enemies inside it when the ability expires. Blindcharge reduces the enemy’s weapon damage by 50% and increases their ability cooldown by 50% for 6 seconds.

The Electric Shift ability makes Angler a very versatile robot that can break into crowds of enemies and confidently defend positions. The ability also allows Angler to escape from danger or to chase down fleeing enemies.

Strategy of Angler
Angler is a medium robot with one heavy and three light hardpoints. This means that it can equip a variety of weapons to suit different ranges and playstyles. Some of the popular weapon combinations for Angler are:

Glacier and Rime: These are rocket launchers that deal high burst damage and have a chance to freeze the enemy. They are effective at close range and can break physical shields.
Nucleon and Quarker: These are energy weapons that deal more damage as they overheat. They are effective at mid-range and can bypass energy shields.
Ember and Blaze: These are flamethrowers that deal continuous damage and have a chance to ignite the enemy. They are effective at close-mid range and can bypass physical shields.
The best way to use Angler is to time its ability wisely and take advantage of its speed and firepower. Angler should avoid exposing itself to enemy fire when its ability is on cooldown, as it has low durability and no other defensive mechanisms. Angler should also avoid engaging multiple enemies at once, as its vortex can only damage enemies within 50 meters.

A good strategy for Angler is to flank the enemy or ambush them from behind cover. Angler can then activate its ability and unleash its vortex on the unsuspecting enemy, while also becoming immune to damage. Angler can also use its ability defensively, to escape from danger or to protect its teammates.

Angler Threat Measure
Angler is one of the most feared robots in War Robots, as it can deal devastating damage and survive for a long time with its ability. However, Angler is not invincible, and it has some weaknesses that can be exploited by smart enemies.

Some of the ways to counter Angler are:

Use stealth or jump abilities to avoid its vortex and attack it from behind or above.
Use weapons or abilities that can bypass or break its physical shield, such as rockets, flamethrowers, Titans’ weapons, or Arthur’s Blast Wave.
Use weapons or abilities that can disable or reduce its mobility, such as EMP, suppression, lockdown, or corrosion.
Use teamwork and coordination to focus fire on Angler when its ability is on cooldown or when it is outnumbered.
Counterplay Angler
Angler is a very powerful robot that can pose a serious threat to any enemy team. However, there are some robots that can counter Angler effectively, either by using their own abilities or by using their weapons. The table below shows some of the robots that can counter Angler in different ways.
  • Scorpion can teleport behind Angler and freeze it with its rockets, preventing it from using its ability or escaping.
  • Hawk can fly above Angler and damage it with its beam, bypassing its shield and vortex.
  • Shell can charge at Angler and detonate its explosive shield, breaking its physical shield and freezing it.
  • Typhon can disable Angler’s ability and weapons with its Blackout, and suppress it with its machine guns.
  • Orochi can stealthily approach Angler and ignite it with its flamethrowers, bypassing its shield and vortex.
