Robot Harpy from War Robots Game

Harpy is a robot that can soar into the air and hover and then teleport back to the ground if required. This robot can also create a firestorm that incinerates all enemies caught in it. Harpy belongs to the DSC faction.

Ability of Harpy
Harpy’s ability is called Firestorm. When activated, Harpy sets up a translocator, makes a jet jump and hovers in the air. While in the air, Harpy can launch a powerful rocket that creates a zone upon impact that damages enemies and applies the Blast effect to them. The Blast effect accumulates over time and then explodes, dealing a fixed amount of damage that cannot be mitigated.

Activating the ability again teleports Harpy back to the translocator. If no action is made and the ability ends, Harpy will fall down in free-fall motion.

Firestorm lasts for 8 seconds and then enters a 10 second cooldown phase.

While using Firestorm, Harpy also activates a Reflector shield, which partially blocks received damage and redirects it to the one dealing it. Reflector doesn’t fully protect Harpy, but it can’t be mitigated.

The Firestorm and Reflector abilities make Harpy a very dangerous robot that can surprise attack enemies from above and create a firestorm that incinerates them. The abilities also allow Harpy to escape from danger or reposition itself for a better angle.

Strategy of Harpy
Harpy is a medium robot with two medium hardpoints and one heavy hardpoint. This means that it can equip a variety of weapons to suit different ranges and playstyles. Some of the popular weapon combinations for Harpy are:

Igniter and Ember: These are flamethrowers that deal continuous damage and have a chance to ignite the enemy. They are effective at close-mid range and can bypass physical shields.
Scourge and Calamity: These are energy weapons that deal more damage as they lock onto the target. They are effective at mid-long range and can bypass energy shields.
Thermite and Exodus: These are rocket launchers that deal high burst damage and have a chance to ignite the enemy. They are effective at close-mid range and can break physical shields.
The best way to use Harpy is to time its ability wisely and take advantage of its firestorm and reflector. Harpy should avoid exposing itself to enemy fire when its ability is on cooldown or when its reflector is depleted, as it has low durability and no other defensive mechanisms. Harpy should also avoid engaging multiple enemies at once, as its firestorm can only affect one area at a time.

A good strategy for Harpy is to set up its translocator near a strategic position or beacon, such as behind cover or on high ground. Harpy can then use its jet jump to fly above the enemy and launch its rocket to create a firestorm that damages and blasts them. Harpy can also use its ability defensively, to teleport back to its translocator and retreat from danger or to reposition it for a better angle.

Harpy Threat Measure
Harpy is one of the most dangerous robots in War Robots, as it can surprise attack enemies from above and create a firestorm that incinerates them. However, Harpy is not invincible, and it has some weaknesses that can be exploited by smart enemies.

Some of the ways to counter Harpy are:

Use stealth detection or quantum radar modules to reveal its location and target it.
Use weapons or abilities that can bypass or break its reflector shield, such as rockets, flamethrowers, Titans’ weapons, or Arthur’s Blast Wave.
Use weapons or abilities that can disable or reduce its firepower or mobility, such as EMP, suppression, lockdown, or corrosion.
Use teamwork and coordination to focus fire on Harpy when its ability is on cooldown or when it is outnumbered.

Counterplay Harpy
Harpy is a very dangerous robot that can pose a serious threat to any enemy team. However, there are some robots that can counter Harpy effectively, either by using their own abilities or by using their weapons. The table below shows some of the robots that can counter Harpy in different ways.
  • Scorpion can teleport behind Harpy and freeze it with its rockets, preventing it from using its ability or escaping.
  • Hawk can fly above Harpy and damage it with its beam, bypassing its reflector shield and firestorm.
  • Shell can charge at Harpy and detonate its explosive shield, breaking its reflector shield and freezing it.
  • Typhon can disable Harpy’s ability and weapons with its Blackout, and suppress it with its machine guns.
  • Orochi can stealthily approach Harpy and ignite it with its flamethrowers, bypassing its reflector shield and firestorm.
