Robot Scorpion from War Robots Game

Scorpion is a robot that can instantly teleport behind an enemy, causing panic and destruction, and returning to safety just as quickly. Scorpion belongs to the Yan-di Ventures faction.

Ability of Scorpion
Scorpion’s ability is called Backstab. When activated, Scorpion sets up a translocator and teleports behind the enemy, gaining acceleration, activating the defense system and built-in weapon, and inflicting direct and DoT (damage over time) effect. The built-in weapon is an energy weapon that deals moderate damage and applies the Corrosion effect to the robot that it hits. The Corrosion effect damages the enemy’s hull over time.

Backstab lasts for 5 seconds and then enters a 10 second cooldown phase.

Activating the ability again teleports Scorpion back to the translocator. If no action is made and the ability ends, Scorpion will stay at its current location.

While using Backstab, Scorpion also activates a Reflector shield, which partially blocks received damage and redirects it to the one dealing it. Reflector doesn’t fully protect Scorpion, but it can’t be mitigated.

The Backstab and Reflector abilities make Scorpion a very aggressive and disruptive robot that can surprise attack enemies from behind and damage and corrode them. The abilities also allow Scorpion to escape from danger or reposition itself for a better angle.

Strategy of Scorpion
Scorpion is a medium robot with two medium hardpoints and one light hardpoint. This means that it can equip a variety of weapons to suit different ranges and playstyles. Some of the popular weapon combinations for Scorpion are:

Cryo and Rime: These are rocket launchers that deal high burst damage and have a chance to freeze the enemy. They are effective at close range and can break physical shields.
Scourge and Spark: These are energy weapons that deal more damage as they lock onto the target. They are effective at medium range and can bypass energy shields.
Pulsar and Shredder: These are energy machine guns that deal moderate damage and have a chance to suppress the enemy. They are effective at mid-long range and can bypass energy shields.
The best way to use Scorpion is to time its ability wisely and take advantage of its teleportation and corrosion. Scorpion should avoid exposing itself to enemy fire when its ability is on cooldown or when its reflector is depleted, as it has low durability and no other defensive mechanisms. Scorpion should also avoid engaging multiple enemies at once, as its built-in weapon can only target one enemy at a time.

A good strategy for Scorpion is to set up its translocator near a strategic position or beacon, such as behind cover or on high ground. Scorpion can then use its teleportation to appear behind the enemy and fire its weapons to deal damage and corrosion. Scorpion can also use its ability defensively, to teleport back to its translocator and retreat from danger or to reposition it for a better angle.

Scorpion Threat Measure
Scorpion is one of the most aggressive and disruptive robots in War Robots, as it can instantly teleport behind an enemy, causing panic and destruction, and returning to safety just as quickly. However, Scorpion is not invincible, and it has some weaknesses that can be exploited by smart enemies.

Some of the ways to counter Scorpion are:

Use stealth detection or quantum radar modules to reveal its location and target it.
Use weapons or abilities that can bypass or break its reflector shield, such as rockets, flamethrowers, Titans’ weapons, or Arthur’s Blast Wave.
Use weapons or abilities that can disable or reduce its firepower or mobility, such as EMP, suppression, lockdown, or corrosion.
Use teamwork and coordination to focus fire on Scorpion when its ability is on cooldown or when it is outnumbered.

Counterplay Scorpion
Scorpion is a very aggressive and disruptive robot that can pose a serious threat to any enemy team. However, there are some robots that can counter Scorpion effectively, either by using their own abilities or by using their weapons. The table below shows some of the robots that can counter Scorpion in different ways.
  • Scorpion can teleport behind Scorpion and freeze it with its rockets, preventing it from using its ability or escaping.
  • Hawk can fly above Scorpion and damage it with its beam, bypassing its reflector shield and built-in weapon.
  • Shell can charge at Scorpion and detonate its explosive shield, breaking its reflector shield and freezing it.
  • Typhon can disable Scorpion’s ability and weapons with its Blackout, and suppress it with its machine guns.
  • Orochi can stealthily approach Scorpion and ignite it with its flamethrowers, bypassing its reflector shield and built-in weapon.
