Robot Shell from War Robots Game

Shell is a robot that is surrounded by durable physical shields and can make short sprints to key points, while the excess heat generated by its core can damage and knockback enemies that come too close. Shell belongs to the DSC faction.

Ability of Shell
Shell’s ability is called Atom. When activated, Shell accelerates and exposes its core, using its heat to thrust it forward while it opens up its shield configuration, allowing enemies without splash weaponry to damage it directly from both the front and the back. After 5 seconds, Shell overloads its core and unleashes an explosion within a 100m range. Any enemies caught within this explosion will be knocked back into the air and will receive damage. The damage depends on the level of Shell and its equipped weapons.

Atom lasts for 5 seconds and then enters a 7 second cooldown phase.

While using Atom, Shell also activates a Reflector shield, which partially blocks received damage and redirects it to the one dealing it. Reflector doesn’t fully protect Shell, but it can’t be mitigated.

The Atom and Reflector abilities make Shell a very tough and explosive robot that can charge at enemies and detonate its explosive shield, breaking their defenses and freezing them. The abilities also allow Shell to survive longer and deal more damage.

Strategy of Shell
Shell is a medium robot with two light hardpoints and one heavy hardpoint. This means that it can equip a variety of weapons to suit different ranges and playstyles. Some of the popular weapon combinations for Shell are:

Glacier and Rime: These are rocket launchers that deal high burst damage and have a chance to freeze the enemy. They are effective at close range and can break physical shields.
Ember and Blaze: These are flamethrowers that deal continuous damage and have a chance to ignite the enemy. They are effective at close-mid range and can bypass physical shields.
Nucleon and Quarker: These are energy weapons that deal more damage as they fire continuously. They are effective at mid-long range and can bypass energy shields.
The best way to use Shell is to time its ability wisely and take advantage of its explosive shield and reflector. Shell should avoid exposing itself to enemy fire when its ability is on cooldown or when its reflector is depleted, as it has low durability and no other defensive mechanisms. Shell should also avoid engaging multiple enemies at once, as its explosive shield can only affect one area at a time.

A good strategy for Shell is to charge at enemies and detonate its explosive shield, breaking their defenses and freezing them. Shell can also use its ability defensively, to escape from danger or to surprise attack an enemy.

Shell Threat Measure
Shell is one of the toughest and most explosive robots in War Robots, as it is surrounded by durable physical shields and can make short sprints to key points, while the excess heat generated by its core can damage and knockback enemies that come too close. However, Shell is not invincible, and it has some weaknesses that can be exploited by smart enemies.

Some of the ways to counter Shell are:

Use stealth detection or quantum radar modules to reveal its location and target it.
Use weapons or abilities that can bypass or break its reflector shield, such as rockets, flamethrowers, Titans’ weapons, or Arthur’s Blast Wave.
Use weapons or abilities that can disable or reduce its firepower or mobility, such as EMP, suppression, lockdown, or corrosion.
Use teamwork and coordination to focus fire on Shell when its ability is on cooldown or when it is outnumbered.

Counterplay Shell
Shell is a very tough and explosive robot that can pose a serious threat to any enemy team. However, there are some robots that can counter Shell effectively, either by using their own abilities or by using their weapons. The table below shows some of the robots that can counter Shell in different ways.
  • Scorpion can teleport behind Shell and freeze it with its rockets, preventing it from using its ability or escaping.
  • Hawk can fly above Shell and damage it with its beam, bypassing its reflector shield and explosive shield.
  • Shell can charge at Shell and detonate its explosive shield, breaking its reflector shield and freezing it.
  • Typhon can disable Shell’s ability and weapons with its Blackout, and suppress it with its machine guns.
  • Orochi can stealthily approach Shell and ignite it with its flamethrowers, bypassing its reflector shield and explosive shield.
The total upgrade cost of Shell from level 1 to level 12 is 198.700 million Ag
