Robot Typhon from War Robots Game

Typhon is a fast attack robot capable of temporarily neutralizing the enemy. Typhon is equipped with unique built-in energy cannons and an improved Aegis energy shield. Typhon belongs to the Evolife faction.

Ability of Typhon

Typhon’s ability is called Blackout 2.0. When activated, Typhon shoots three energy charges at the target that damage and temporarily disable the enemy robot’s subsystems:

EMP: Blocks the activation of an enemy ability and active module
Lock-Down: Immobilizes an enemy
Suppression: Reduces the enemy’s damage by 50%
Blackout 2.0 takes 1 second to fire. The ability then enters a cooldown phase of 14 seconds before being able to be fired again. The effects applied by Blackout 2.0 last for 5 seconds, and after the effect duration the robot gains resistance to all three effects for 5 seconds.

Typhon also has a built-in Aegis shield generator, which generates a special energy shield that is impenetrable to any type of weapon. The improved version has a more streamlined shape, making it significantly smaller than other Aegis shields.

The Blackout 2.0 and Aegis abilities make Typhon a very effective robot that can disable and damage enemies with its energy cannons and protect itself with its energy shield. The abilities also allow Typhon to survive longer and deal more damage.

Strategy of Typhon
Typhon is a heavy robot with four medium hardpoints. This means that it can equip a variety of weapons to suit different ranges and playstyles. Some of the popular weapon combinations for Typhon are:

Pulsar and Shredder: These are energy machine guns that deal moderate damage and have a chance to suppress the enemy. They are effective at mid-long range and can bypass energy shields.
Scourge and Spark: These are energy weapons that deal more damage as they lock onto the target. They are effective at medium range and can bypass energy shields.
Cryo and Rime: These are rocket launchers that deal high burst damage and have a chance to freeze the enemy. They are effective at close range and can break physical shields.
The best way to use Typhon is to time its ability wisely and take advantage of its energy cannons and shield. Typhon should avoid exposing itself to enemy fire when its ability is on cooldown or when its shield is depleted, as it has low durability and no other defensive mechanisms. Typhon should also avoid engaging multiple enemies at once, as its energy cannons can only target one enemy at a time.

A good strategy for Typhon is to disable and damage enemies with its ability and weapons, especially those with powerful abilities or active modules. Typhon can also use its ability defensively, to escape from danger or to surprise attack an enemy.

Typhon Threat Measure
Typhon is one of the most effective robots in War Robots, as it can disable and damage enemies with its unique built-in energy cannons and protect itself with its improved Aegis energy shield. However, Typhon is not invincible, and it has some weaknesses that can be exploited by smart enemies.

Some of the ways to counter Typhon are:

Use stealth detection or quantum radar modules to reveal its location and target it.
Use weapons or abilities that can bypass or break its Aegis shield, such as rockets, flamethrowers, Titans’ weapons, or Arthur’s Blast Wave.
Use weapons or abilities that can disable or reduce its firepower or mobility, such as EMP, suppression, lockdown, or corrosion.
Use teamwork and coordination to focus fire on Typhon when its ability is on cooldown or when it is outnumbered.

Counterplay Typhon
Typhon is a very effective robot that can pose a serious threat to any enemy team. However, there are some robots that can counter Typhon effectively, either by using their own abilities or by using their weapons. The table below shows some of the robots that can counter Typhon in different ways.
  • Scorpion can teleport behind Typhon and freeze it with its rockets, preventing it from using its ability or escaping.
  • Hawk can fly above Typhon and damage it with its beam, bypassing its Aegis shield and energy cannons.
  • Shell can charge at Typhon and detonate its explosive shield, breaking its Aegis shield and freezing it.
  • Typhon can disable Typhon’s ability and weapons with its Blackout 2.0, and suppress it with its machine guns.
  • Orochi can stealthily approach Typhon and ignite it with its flamethrowers, bypassing its Aegis shield and energy cannons.
The total upgrade cost of Typhon from level 1 to level 12 is 198.7 million Ag
