Orochi is a versatile and deadly robot that can move at incredibly fast speeds and fire corrosive projectiles at the enemy. Orochi is protected by stealth technology that prevents enemy guns from targeting it automatically. Orochi belongs to the SpaceTech faction.
Ability of Orochi
Orochi’s ability is called Viper Strike. When activated, Orochi dashes forward and activates stealth, increasing its speed by 100% for the rest of the ability duration. While Viper Strike is active, Orochi fires its built-in missile launcher, which inflicts corrosion damage on enemies and can pathfind its way past obstacles. The missile launcher has a range of 350m.
Viper Strike is a charge-based ability, meaning using the ability will only consume one charge. However, each of these charges have their individual reloads. Viper Strike is active for 4 seconds per charge and Orochi can store two charges. Each charge has a 22 second cooldown phase, which begins upon activation of the charge instead of after the charge is complete. Unlike certain robots, Viper Strike’s charges cannot be used at the same time.
The Viper Strike and Stealth abilities make Orochi a powerful ambush robot that can surprise attack enemies with its speed and corrosion damage. The abilities also allow Orochi to escape from danger or to reposition itself for a better angle.
Strategy of Orochi
Orochi is a heavy robot with two heavy hardpoints. This means that it can equip a variety of weapons to suit different ranges and playstyles. Some of the popular weapon combinations for Orochi are:
Ember and Blaze: These are flamethrowers that deal continuous damage and have a chance to ignite the enemy. They are effective at close-mid range and can bypass physical shields.
Nucleon and Quarker: These are energy weapons that deal more damage as they fire continuously. They are effective at mid-long range and can bypass energy shields.
Exodus and Thermite: These are rocket launchers that deal high burst damage and have a chance to ignite the enemy. They are effective at close-mid range and can break physical shields.
The best way to use Orochi is to time its ability wisely and take advantage of its speed and corrosion damage. Orochi should avoid exposing itself to enemy fire when its ability is on cooldown or when its stealth is depleted, as it has low durability and no other defensive mechanisms. Orochi should also avoid engaging multiple enemies at once, as its missile launcher can only target one enemy at a time.
A good strategy for Orochi is to stealthily approach enemies and fire its missile launcher at them, especially those with low health or weak defenses. Orochi can also use its ability defensively, to escape from danger or to surprise attack an enemy.
Orochi Threat Measure
Orochi is one of the most versatile and deadly robots in War Robots, as it can move at incredibly fast speeds and fire corrosive projectiles at the enemy while being protected by stealth technology. However, Orochi is not invincible, and it has some weaknesses that can be exploited by smart enemies.
Some of the ways to counter Orochi are:
Use stealth detection or quantum radar modules to reveal its location and target it.
Use weapons or abilities that can bypass or break its stealth, such as rockets, flamethrowers, Titans’ weapons, or Arthur’s Blast Wave.
Use weapons or abilities that can disable or reduce its firepower or mobility, such as EMP, suppression, lockdown, or corrosion.
Use teamwork and coordination to focus fire on Orochi when its ability is on cooldown or when it is outnumbered.
Counterplay Orochi
Orochi is a powerful ambush robot that can pose a serious threat to any enemy team. However, there are some robots that can counter Orochi effectively, either by using their own abilities or by using their weapons. The table below shows some of the robots that can counter Orochi in different ways.
- Scorpion can teleport behind Orochi and freeze it with its rockets, preventing it from using its ability or escaping.
- Hawk can fly above Orochi and damage it with its beam, bypassing its stealth and missile launcher.
- Shell can charge at Orochi and detonate its explosive shield, breaking its stealth and freezing it.
- Typhon can disable Orochi’s ability and weapons with its Blackout 2.0, and suppress it with its machine guns.
- Orochi can stealthily approach Orochi and ignite it with its flamethrowers, bypassing its stealth and missile launcher.
