Robot Erebus from War Robots Game
Erebus is a heavy robot made for middle and long distance fights. It has an Aegis shield of impressive durability and it can temporarily disable enemies with guided missiles. Erebus is developed by the EvoLife corporation, and it has three heavy hardpoints.
Ability of Erebus
Erebus’ ability is called Homing Blackout. When activated, Erebus fires four guided rockets that seek the target by themselves, dealing damage and temporarily disabling the enemy robot’s systems. The guided rockets have an 800m range and can maneuver around obstacles. The rockets inflict the following effects on the target:
EMP: Blocks the activation of the enemy’s abilities and modules
Lock-Down: Immobilizes the enemy
Suppression: Reduces the enemy’s firepower by 50%
Corrosion: Inflicts damage-resistance-bypassing damage over time
Each effect lasts five seconds and cannot be negated (unless the enemy has an Anticontrol module or an ability that can negate status effects). Homing Blackout has a fourteen-second cooldown.
Erebus is also equipped with a passively-regenerating Aegis shield, which blocks all types of fire (including flamethrower weapons).
The Homing Blackout and Aegis shield abilities make Erebus a very effective robot that can deal high damage and protect itself from enemy fire at middle and long range. The abilities also allow Erebus to disable enemies and gain an advantage in combat.
Strategy of Erebus
Erebus is a heavy robot with three heavy hardpoints. This means that it can equip a variety of weapons to suit different ranges and playstyles. Some of the popular weapon combinations for Erebus are:
Gauss and Gauss: These are kinetic railguns that deal high damage and have a fast reload time. They are effective at long range and can bypass physical shields.
Flux and Flux: These are energy weapons that deal continuous damage and have a high accuracy. They are effective at long range and can bypass energy shields.
Dragoon and Dragoon: These are energy weapons that deal more damage as they fire continuously. They are effective at mid-long range and can bypass energy shields.
The best way to use Erebus is to time its ability wisely and take advantage of its Aegis shield and guided missiles. Erebus should avoid exposing itself to enemy fire when its ability is on cooldown or when its Aegis shield is depleted, as it has low durability and no other defensive mechanisms. Erebus should also avoid engaging enemies at close range, as it is slow and vulnerable.
A good strategy for Erebus is to position itself at a safe distance from enemies and fire its weapons at them, especially those with low health or weak defenses. Erebus can also use its ability to disable enemies and gain an advantage in combat, or to escape from danger or reposition itself for a better angle.
Erebus Threat Measure
Erebus is one of the most effective robots in War Robots, as it can fire guided missiles that deal high damage and disable enemies’ systems, while being protected by an Aegis shield that blocks all types of fire. However, Erebus is not invincible, and it has some weaknesses that can be exploited by smart enemies.
Some of the ways to counter Erebus are:
Use stealth detection or quantum radar modules to reveal its location and target it.
Use weapons or abilities that can bypass or break its Aegis shield, such as rockets, flamethrowers, Titans’ weapons, or Arthur’s Blast Wave.
Use weapons or abilities that can disable or reduce its firepower or mobility, such as EMP, suppression, lockdown, or corrosion.
Use teamwork and coordination to focus fire on Erebus when its ability is on cooldown or when it is outnumbered.
Counterplay Erebus
Erebus is a very effective robot that can deal high damage and protect itself from enemy fire at middle and long range with its Aegis shield and guided missiles. However, there are some robots that can counter Erebus effectively, either by using their own abilities or by using their weapons. The table below shows some of the robots that can counter Erebus in different ways.
Scorpion can teleport behind Erebus and freeze it with its rockets, preventing it from using its ability or escaping.
Hawk can fly above Erebus and damage it with its beam, bypassing its Aegis shield and guided missiles.
Shell can charge at Erebus and detonate its explosive shield, breaking its Aegis shield and freezing it.
Typhon can disable Erebus’ ability and weapons with its Blackout 2.0, and suppress it with its machine guns.
Orochi can stealthily approach Erebus and ignite it with its flamethrowers, bypassing its Aegis shield and guided missiles.
The total upgrade cost of Erebus from level 1 to level 12 is 198.7 million Ag
