Robot Nightingale from War Robots Game
Nightingale is a fast, flying support robot that can repair nearby allies while in flight. Nightingale is developed by the DSC corporation, and it has one light and two medium hardpoints.
Ability of Nightingale
Nightingale’s ability is named Air Support. Upon activation, Nightingale takes off and switches from its equipped weapons to a built-in weapon that lowers enemies’ damage. While airborne, the robot is in stealth and repairs itself and nearby allies.
The Air Support ability grants Nightingale a 10% speed boost (60.5 km/h at max speed) along with the ability to heal ally robots below it in a 75m diameter radius directly beneath the robot. During flight, the Nightingale’s weapons fold back and are temporarily unavailable. However, the bot activates a built-in suppression weapon (similar to the Rayker) that automatically fires at manually targeted enemies up to 500 meters away. The suppression gun fires one beam every 1.5 seconds and deals very low damage to enemies, however any target hit will have their weapon damage lowered by 75% for five seconds (non-cumulative). The Nightingale’s healing radiates downward from the bot in a fashion similar to a cone, different from the Weyland, Mender, Tyr and Nodens. Any ally within the radius of the Nightingale’s cone (along with the Nightingale itself, as well as bots flying above it) will be healed at a set rate. The Nightingale cannot heal through roofs (like the one on Dreadnought), although the green aura does show through roofs (creating a confusing visual for those within the cone expecting to receive healing).
The Air Support and stealth abilities make Nightingale a very effective robot that can repair nearby allies and suppress enemies at close range. The abilities also allow Nightingale to fly over obstacles and enemies.
Strategy of Nightingale
Nightingale is a medium robot with one light and two medium hardpoints. This means that it can equip a variety of weapons to suit different ranges and playstyles. Some of the popular weapon combinations for Nightingale are:
Ember and Blaze: These are flamethrowers that deal continuous damage and have a chance to ignite the enemy. They are effective at close range and can bypass physical shields.
Nucleon and Quarker: These are energy weapons that deal more damage as they fire continuously. They are effective at mid-long range and can bypass energy shields.
Glacier and Rime: These are rocket launchers that deal high burst damage and have a chance to freeze the enemy. They are effective at close range and can break physical shields.
The best way to use Nightingale is to time its ability wisely and take advantage of its healing and suppression. Nightingale should avoid exposing itself to enemy fire when its ability is on cooldown or when its stealth is deactivated, as it has low durability and no other defensive mechanisms. Nightingale should also avoid engaging enemies at long range, as it is slow and vulnerable.
A good strategy for Nightingale is to activate its ability when there are allies in need of repair or enemies in sight and fire its suppression weapon at them, especially those with high firepower or weak defenses. Nightingale can also use its ability defensively, to protect itself or its allies from enemy fire or to escape from danger.
Nightingale Threat Measure
Nightingale is one of the most effective robots in War Robots, as it can take off and switch from its equipped weapons to a built-in weapon that lowers enemies’ damage, while being in stealth and repairing itself and nearby allies. However, Nightingale is not invincible, and it has some weaknesses that can be exploited by smart enemies.
Some of the ways to counter Nightingale are:
Use stealth detection or quantum radar modules to reveal its location and target it.
Use weapons or abilities that can bypass or break its stealth, such as rockets, flamethrowers, Titans’ weapons, or Arthur’s Blast Wave.
Use weapons or abilities that can disable or reduce its firepower or mobility, such as EMP, suppression, lockdown, or corrosion.
Use teamwork and coordination to focus fire on Nightingale when its ability is on cooldown or when it is outnumbered.
Counterplay Nightingale
Nightingale is a very effective robot that can repair nearby allies and suppress enemies at close range with its stealth and suppression weapon. However, there are some robots that can counter Nightingale effectively, either by using their own abilities or by using their weapons. The table below shows some of the robots that can counter Nightingale in different ways.
Scorpion can teleport behind Nightingale and freeze it with its rockets, preventing it from using its ability or escaping.
Hawk can fly above Nightingale and damage it with its beam, bypassing its stealth and suppression weapon.
Shell can charge at Nightingale and detonate its explosive shield, breaking its stealth and freezing it.
Typhon can disable Nightingale’s ability and weapons with its Blackout 2.0, and suppress it with its machine guns.
Orochi can stealthily approach Nightingale and ignite it with its flamethrowers, bypassing its stealth and suppression weapon.
The total upgrade cost of Nightingale from level 1 to level 12 is 198.7 million Ag
