Seraph: The Titan Slayer of War Robots
War Robots is a multiplayer online game developed by Pixonic and UPWAKE.ME, where players can control various robots with different weapons and abilities. One of the newest robots in the game is Seraph, a heavy robot that can fly and strike enemies with a discharge of electricity. Seraph was specifically created to fight Titans, the giant robots that dominate the battlefield. In this article, we will explore the ability, strategy, threat measure and counterplay of Seraph.
Ability of Seraph
Seraph’s ability is called Skyward. It allows Seraph to take off and activate energy weapons that deal damage to several enemies in front of it. The built-in guns deal increased damage against Titans. The ability lasts for 10 seconds and has a cooldown of 18 seconds.
While in flight, Seraph also activates a unique Forcefield defense system. The Forcefield partially blocks received damage, but the defense level decreases as the incoming damage is blocked. The Forcefield provides 90% protection at its maximum and 80% protection at its minimum. This does not depend on Defense Points, and therefore is immune to Defense Mitigation.
Strategy of Seraph
Seraph serves primarily as a Titan slayer, featuring powerful armaments, average air speed, and near invincibility if its ability and nearby cover is utilized well. Seraph can use its Skyward ability to ambush enemies, especially Titans, and deal massive damage with its electrical flux. Seraph can also use its Forcefield to survive enemy fire while in flight.
However, Seraph has some drawbacks that limit its effectiveness. Its Skyward ability has a long cooldown and activation time, making it vulnerable during transitions. Its Forcefield does not block all damage and weakens as it takes damage. Its built-in guns have a limited range and angle, making it hard to hit fast or distant enemies.
Therefore, Seraph players should be careful when choosing when and where to fly. They should also use cover and terrain to their advantage and avoid exposing their weak spots to enemy fire. Seraph works best with weapons that have high burst damage and short reload time, such as Devastator/Scatter/Havoc or Thunder/Punisher/Punisher.
Seraph can also be used as a support robot, using its Skyward ability to assist allies in need or distract enemies. However, Seraph should not be used as a frontline brawler or a tanky robot, as it lacks sustained durability and firepower.
Seraph Threat Measure
Seraph is a high threat robot that can pose a serious challenge to most enemies, especially Titans. Its Skyward ability allows it to fly and fire a strong electrical flux that deals extra damage to Titans. Its Forcefield also gives it some protection from enemy fire while in flight.
However, Seraph is not invincible and has some weaknesses that can be exploited by smart enemies. Its Skyward ability has a long cooldown and activation time, making it vulnerable during transitions. Its Forcefield does not block all damage and weakens as it takes damage. Its built-in guns have a limited range and angle, making it hard to hit fast or distant enemies.
Therefore, Seraph’s threat level depends on several factors, such as:
The number of enemies it faces
The type of weapons they use
The availability of cover and terrain
The presence of allies or enemies with grey damage sources
The timing and positioning of its flight
Counterplay Seraph
Seraph can be countered by several strategies and tactics that can reduce its effectiveness or even kill it. Some of these are:
Using grey damage sources: Titans, drones or weapons like Nucleon or Quarker can deal grey damage that bypasses Seraph’s Forcefield.
Using splash damage: Splash damage can hit Seraph behind its shield or even when it flies.
Using lockdown or suppression: Lockdown or suppression can prevent Seraph from flying or using its weapons, making it vulnerable to enemy fire.
Using stealth or phase shift: Stealth or phase shift can make Seraph lose its lock-on and waste its ability or fly to a wrong location.
Using teamwork: Teamwork can overwhelm Seraph with multiple enemies or support allies with healing or defense.
